Following the issue of the SimplySiti has sent an official statement received from the Halal Hub Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
JAKIM say: -

1. Referring to the above, it is advised that Section Halal Hub, JAKIM regret the dissemination of the above claims because it is so obviously mislead consumers and tarnish the image of Islam manufacturers business. For information, the information is inaccurate and not current.
2. We hereby clarify that the brush was found NOT BRUSH USED IN PRODUCTS SIMPLYSITI but it is a brush used for cleaning. The Simplysiti took corrective action by removing the brush from the process and the process of tanning as soon as the results of the analysis report from the Chemistry Department of Malaysia notified to the SimplySiti.
3. We have also received confirmation of the report issued by the Korean tanning Muslim Federation (KMF) and confirmed by A. Rahman Lee, Ju Hwa (Seoul Mosque Priest).
4. We hereby confirm that the products that have received SimplySiti JAKIM Halal certification is true. The product list is shown in Appendix A.
5. Therefore, we advise people to carefully for any information transmitted through social websites or the internet and if you have any questions about the halal status of a product, please contact JAKIM Halal Hub.
